Proclamations  2009

Texas riders are making headlines by attending City Council meetings
& getting newspaper articles published that ask drivers in their community to...
please watch for motorcycles & help save a life...

Hi all....  I've been Safety & Awareness Coordinator for TCOC&I, DFW Region since 2005 and also continue
to work with many riders statewide on our annual campaigns. This year I was asked to take on a State
Safety & Awareness position to help each region set up their own Safety & Awareness teams.
Can't wait to see how many proclamations we can all pick up next year....
Just a note, the Ride Safe In Texas program is not a part of TCOC&I, their progam is called TCOC&I
Safety & Awareness program and they participate annually with the proclamations campaign.

Working together we are getting so much more awareness out there....  go Texas bikers.
-Butterfly, founder of Ride Safe In Texas

This year Texas riders picked up proclamations in 130 cities & 14 counties across Texas.

Thanks to ALL who participated in '09 to make Texas a safer place to ride...one city at a time.
we want thank Governor Perry & our Mayors for their support again this year ...
we also thank our County Judges & Commissioner Courts

May 2009 - signed by Governor Rick Perry.
He also rides a Harley and he signs this proclamation every year to help remind cages to please watch
for motorcycles....   : )
